Public Menu items require login w sh404sef enabled

My site allows for any user to look at and read the listings in all my categories. However, in order to post a review they must be registered and logged in.

 

Everything was working as desired until I enabled sh404sef. Once enabled, users were required to be logged in even to look at the listings as they were marked as private access. Top menu items (home, about, contact, etc) remained accessible by everyone, it was just my Main Menu categories that were restricted.

 

Once I log in, everything works beautifully.

 

Any thoughts on how I can configure sh404sef to allow for anyone to browse the listings?
