This version of PHP has entered its “Security maintenance” phase since Sunday, 28 November 2021 and has stopped receiving bug fixes. It will stop receiving security updates on Monday, 28 November 2022 at which point it will be unsuitable for use on a live site. "Akeeba Backup will stop supporting your version of PHP soon after it becomes End-of-Life on Monday, 28 November 2022." When I look to see what PHP version I can upgrade to on my server, I see it is PHP 8, but it has the following message: "Please note, that ionCube support for PHP 8.0 is not yet available."
