..."rss" alias results in xml file

We have run into a glitch. On at least two different website that we have built using JReviews, when a directory listing's detail page has an alias that ends in "rss" the link will open an xml file. Here is an example:

https://senioridy.com/in-home-care-listings/testing-a-listingrss

If we change the alias name, the listing can be viewed normally.

As you know, we have our JReviews very heavily customized (mostly layouts but a few control and handlers as well) so we are not yet ready for the update to the J4 version. If you discover what the issue is, could you give me an idea of what and where the change would need to be applied to?
