I cannot get joomla/jreviews to create new content on new installs nor does older installs content show when upgrading to mysql 8. Tried the workaround from joomla docs which does not fix anything. With jreviews a logged in user can view their own listings from the usersprofiles manage "my listings" link and on the front end category lists but not as guest/public visitor. Currently running a ubuntu 18.04 server with mysql 5's latest only because of this mysql 8 setback. Would like to upgrade to ubuntu 20 but not until this mysql issue is resolved. Thank you!
