development filter for GeoJSON layers // overlay gpx tracks?

i'm wondering if there would a change with this dev filter method to display uploaded gpx data as tracks what are stored as media per listing.
i know that it is possible to displayed kml files in the listing detail map, but in my use case my users only use the format gpx to track there adventures. 
that is why i find this scenery very interesting to follow if there would a option to make this happen from the point of development view.
