angel Posted December 4, 2009 at 11:25 AM Share Posted December 4, 2009 at 11:25 AM Hi, With my SEO efforts I now have a URL from click2search which looks like this (generically): www.example.com/{Listings SEO Name}/tag/{field_name}/{Field-Value}/ The {Listings SEO NAme} and {field-value} are completely definable by you. No problem. The {field_name} has the restriction that you must make it all one word. It takes the jr_ off the front - so "jr_skilllevel" becomes "skilllevel". Ideally my understanding is that it would be good to allow dashes in the field. That way you could have two or three word field names that are SEOed up. In my case I could make "dating-experience-level" for instance. Side question: Is there a way to modify the name of a field? As I'm playing around with the database now, it seems an opportune time to make SEO changes. I'm thinking: 1. Create new field: "jr_datingexperiencelevel" instead of "jr_skilllevel" 2. Populate with same field options as last time 3. Delete the original "jr_skilllevel" 4. In my CSV for import into phpmyadmin - simply make sure the old/ existing data is in the right column to get pushed into the new field That would get me closer - is there something I'm not getting about how i could modify the URL another way? P.S. I often use the Click2Search URLs in my menus, much better than having search result output in terms of the URL it gives. I've had success with google positioning using click2search URLs over the Search URLs. Link to comment
