Joomla 1.0.x and special characters when editing reviews

If you are using Joomla 1.0.x with iso-8859-1 encoding you might find that special characters are displayed incorrectly when editing a review. You will need to edit Joomla's index2.php file and add this line at the top below the other header lines:

 

header('Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1');

 

then comment this line further below as shown or remove it:
