A little help for those new to jreviews and SEF Advanced

I have had a lot of trouble trying to get SEF Advance and jreviews to work together the way I want them too.

 

I am using joomla 1.5.7, jreviews 2.0.7.31, SEF Advance 1.6.8

For those having trouble as I was here are some Tips that might help you.

 

1) As it is pointed out on this site the directory name and the menu name can not be the same.

 

This means that the Section and Category names in Joomla core cannot be the same as the menu name for the link (title or alias for the link) to that directory. I thought it meant the directory name set up in jreviews, apperently not.

 

For example a typical menu directory link might look likes this http://www.yoursite.com/jreviews/menu-link-name/

 

However if the link to one of your items in that directory have the same menu-link-name (title or alias for the link) as the name of the section or category for that directory it will not work.

 

For example, http://www.yoursite.com/menu-link-name/category/product.html

 

But if it is http://www.yoursite.com/menu-link-name-reviews/category/product.html it should work.

 

I found this to be true with alphacontent as well even with SEF Advance turned off for that component.
