a business listing should be allowed to appear in multiple categories instead of just one. This option should be available to the user in both the “create listing” and “edit listing” pages.

If the listing is to be “featured” in either front page or category this should also be selectable to allow for extra charges (if using paid for listings).

Having your listing across multiple categories is a must for a listing site. After all, a listing site is all about indexing and finding something associated with multiple search parameters. This is a thing we find in JobRoller script, ie offers the ability to post a job and list it in multiple categories including Featured category.

Being able to package up a certain number of categories within a plan, and then customers can pay for the privilege of additional categories

Eg: Premium listing allows customer to select up to 5 categories.

Basic listing only allows 1 category.

If a business wants to be listed in multiple categories for a site that charges for categories, it would charge separately for each category that the business is listed in

OR

come up with Ad/Listing Pricing Tiers, and then to assign a listing to one of those tiers. That way you could have five or so pricing plans that you could choose from when creating a listing, and it wouldn’t matter what category/categories a listing was in.

This could be better than connecting each category to its own, unique pricing plan.
