Not getting 404 error page.

Hello ,

 

 

Joomla Version    - 3.3.0

JReviews Version  - v2.4.15.3

 

I am trying to get a 404 page.

I have not installed sh404 plugin

I am only using joomla core sef.

 

My url are as follows

 

Landing page

http://stg.adoption.com/reviews/

 

Category page

http://stg.adoption.com/reviews/alabama

 

 

So if I enter url like this

http://stg.adoption.com/reviews/alabamafjkldsfsdfsd

 

which category or menu is not exist

 

it should go to 404 page.

But currently it shows landing page and the url in the url bar is wrong.

 

 

I have added error.php in my template folder

reviews\templates\jreviews_overrides\views\themes\adoption\error.php

 

but it did not get execute.
