Changing status of expired listings

Few scenarios here I could do with some guidance on please

 

1) I have about 250 users who were on a free trial that was period stamped that have now expired. I would like to now reactivate them all on a never ending free trial.

 

I was thinking of amending the base plan and then doing update orders. Would this republish and activate them? Or do I need to cancel down all their existing orders and do create orders on the new plan? If so how do you cancel down all the orders?

 

2) I have 20 users on this free trial time stamped plan above that have not expired yet. I'd like them to move onto the same never ending free trial base plan as above. Assuming this happens anyway with option 1 doing amend orders

 

3) i want users on a paid annual plan when they expire to go onto the free trial never ending base plan above. I assume I just choose this in the plan set up of the paid plan and do update orders I.e. After expiry create a free plan option?

 

FYI I intend to introduce an upgrade paid plan for the free base plan and a paid premium base plan also.
