Recommended Posts

We are pleased to announce the immediate availability of JReviews The upgrade is available via remote update if you have installed a previous version of 2.4 and it is also available for download in the client area. You need a valid upgrades package to download and use the latest versions.

What's new in this version?

* Integration with StackIdeas' EasySocial extension. We created four five EasySocial Apps. MyListings, MyReviews, MyFavorites, JReviews (to parse the activity stream) and ReviewMe (to add the review system to profiles via the Everywhere Add-on). We also created a point rules file for the most common activities. For more information read the EasySocial Integration article in the documentation. Clients of JomSocial need not worry. JReviews will continue to have integration features for JomSocial as well.

* PHP Based Formatting advanced setting for custom fields. This new feature enables you to write simple or complex custom conditionals before rendering a field or even to disable the field. To find out more about this feature read our PHP Formatting Examples in the documentation.

* Advanced Search Module customization via module settings. Up till now the only way to add custom fields and create multiple versions of the module was via theme customizations. With this update you can create your custom layouts directly via the advanced search module settings. For more information read the Advanced Search Module Customization article in the documentation.

The update also has many bug fixes so everyone is encouraged to update to this version.

We've also released updates to GeoMaps and PaidListings to fix some bugs in those add-ons.
