We are very happy to announce the first beta release of the long awaited PaidListings Add-on for JReviews 2.4. Anyone who previously ordered the add-on and has a valid upgrades package should be able to install it from within the JReviews admin. You first need to update JReviews 2.4 to the latest version because we had to make some changes there for the the add-on.

Some important things to keep in mind:

1. This is the first beta of PaidListings 2.4. We re-wrote all the javascript, most of the theme files and a lot of the php code. There are bound to be bugs so we ask that you fist test this on a development site so when you come to us for support it is not because your production site is broken! We'll try to fix the reported bugs as soon as possible.

2. Our immediate goal was to get the add-on up and running with the same features as before, but including the new media capability so now you can add limits to each plan for each media type.

3. If you have an existing JReviews 2.3 site with PaidListings. Please follow the upgrade instructions in the documentation:

http://docs.reviewsforjoomla.com/?title=How_to_upgrade_JReviews#Upgrading_to_JReviews_2.4_from_earlier_versions

It is important that you remove the add-on before you upgrade to JReviews 2.4.

4. Once you upgrade, install the Orders Migrator Add-on from the JReviews admin and use that to bring your existing orders up to date for the new media system. You should also edit your plans and set the media limits there for new orders.

In addition to the PaidListings Add-on, the new JReviews version has some important new features highlighted below:

* Support for using a CDN for media URLS. You can easily use Amazon CloudFront to connect with your Amazon S3 buckets.

* New media settings for video bitrate and transfer method from localhost to the encoding service.

* Canonical tags for re-ordered pages pointing back to the base url without the order parameter as recommended by Google Webmaster.

* Ability to quickly check and modify the Claim Status of listings in the admin listings browse page.

* Ability to view and toggle listings and reviews from their rejected state in the admin browse pages.

* Many new Listing Type configuration and access settings overrides.

* New thumbnail position parameter in modules and plugins. You should re-install all modules on top of the existing ones to get the new settings.

We also fixed a few bugs and made some minor improvements to GeoMaps. You can read the complete changelogs here:
