Weekly Update #9: JReviews v2.4

This week we got a little sidetracked with responsive design. There's a big push outside and inside of Joomla to move towards responsive design and since we already broke all backwards compatibility for the themes in JReviews 2.4 we decided now's the time to bring responsive design into JReviews since we already doing that for the iReview template. We may not be able to complete the work for the initial beta, but good progress was made this week for most media elements like the video player and photo gallery. This doesn't mean the mobile theme is going away. You'll continue to have a choice of loading a different theme for mobile devices if that's what you want. It can be less cluttered and better optimized.

We were also able to do complete 90% of the refactoring of the admin-side of PaidListings, which means a 2.4 compatible release will follow much sooner than expected, but do keep in mind there's a lot of work ahead for the front-end side of the add-on. There's a ton of javascript code and theme files to be re-written!

We also did a few upgrade and installation tests and fixed some bugs.

We hate to make promises we can't keep, but at least we hope that this will be the final weekly update before we release the first beta. Be nice on the support side next week :) and we'll try to wrap this up ASAP!
