beavis Posted June 6, 2012 at 12:44 AM Share Posted June 6, 2012 at 12:44 AM I am currently evaluating the demo version of JReviews and am having difficulty configuring JReviews Categories and Listings so that the titles and meta descriptions are appropriate for both display on my site and display in search engine results. My site will be a geographic directory of widget providers. My categories are states and cities, for example: California category with subcategories of Los Angeles and San Diego Florida category with subcategories of Miami and Tampa Here are some of my problems: 1) The title of each page is simply the category name, for example "California". A title of "California" is useless for SEO. I would like the title to be "California Widgets: User Reviews and Ratings" or some other custom title. I would go so far to question how anyone could build a successful site if the page titles always have to be the exact category or listing title. 2) I created all of the categories with JReviews, not Joomla. However, JReviews does not display the information from Joomla metadata options fields. It pulls the Meta Description from the category details HTML field and it pulls the meta keywords from the global configuration. Is there a way to make it pull this data from the Metadata Options fields on the Joomla category field? 3) If these issues cannot be resolved natively in JReviews, are there plugins that could do it? Thanks! Link to comment
