jeroen playak Posted March 29, 2012 at 10:12 AM Share Posted March 29, 2012 at 10:12 AM I noticed that in Joomla 2.5, the images and urls fields are finally used, but in a way that is completely incompatible with the way they are used by jreviews (which is the same way I started using such fields for my own components, since I liked the simnple and flexible approach). Joomla 2.5 uses those fields in a totally clumsy way, which reminds of PHPnuke programming from 10 years ago. Maximum 2 images and 3 urls, encoded in json (ok, at least that encoding is half way modern). Does this mean that jreviews will start using its own database field for images in order to stay compatible? and will it stay with the old encoding or will it also move to json?
