And no, it is not the same as Related. This feature uses the users favorites and/or ratings, giving it a more in-depth purpose why to rate and favorite items. best examples I can think of: - Google Reader - when you "like" posts it gives you realted items on a different tab based on what you liked. - iphone apps - There are sites that give suggestions on apps you may like based on items you mark "have it" which is favorites.
