karl pers Posted May 24, 2011 at 03:15 PM Share Posted May 24, 2011 at 03:15 PM Hi, First of all, I think jReviews is really a great extention. Im pretty new to Booth Joomla and jReviews though.. I have spent hours reading the documentation about setting up proper URLs for the listings and I really dont getting it as I want.. The URLs I want to archieve are as follow: www.mydomain.com www.mydomain.com/section-alias www.mydomain.com/section-alias/category-alias www.mydomain.com/section-alias/category-alias/listing-alias (Or even better: www.mydomain.com/listing-alias) Im able to create hidden menus etc, to archieve: www.mydomain.com www.mydomain.com/section-alias www.mydomain.com/section-alias/category-alias But when it comes to the listing pages, the URL looks like this: www.mydomain.com/component/content/article/6-category-alias/7-listingname I know this is described in the documentation, but Im too stupid to really grab how the URL structure works. The questions which I still havent found any answer are: Is it possible to archieve my URL structure only by only using Joomla core SEF? If I should edit index.php (as described in the documentation) to set the URLs, do I need to set an extra rule for each listing, or it is enought to put rules for each category? Im sure many users had to spent some time finding out the best solution to get the URL structure as they wanted, maybe someone have any recommendations to archieve this as easy (and cheap) as possible? The steps I have made this far is: 1. Set up joomla sections and categories 2. Set up jreviews directory, and connected each category/section into jReview 3. Set up a visible jReviews menu, and added the currect section/category IDs But whats next to get the listing URLs as I want? Sorry for my unproper english, not my native language.. really thankful if someone could give me some hints! Link to comment
