We are pleased to announce the release of JReviews 2.2.03.176. Dozens of users have upgraded via the remote updater and started reporting bugs even before we had time to post this announcement. For this reason we decided to postpone the official announcement until we took care of all the initial bugs and have since then have released several builds of this version (2.2.03) as quickly as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused to those upgrading early.

The new version is now also available for download from the client area.

We put a lot of work into this release to fix bugs, improve performance, enhance existing features and add new features. Below some of the most important ones:

1) Complete overhaul of JomSocial activity stream integration. All actions now include the listing image and an excerpt of the listing, the review or review discussion. Now actions are also posted to the stream when approved in moderation queues.

2) Migrated to the Twitter Oauth API so you need to re-do your Twitter setup. Actions are also posted to your Twitter account when approved in moderation queues.

3) New SEO Manager for Listing Types. This is an amazing feature that truly takes advantage of the CCK nature of JReviews to enable you to easily customize page title, meta keyword and meta description for each listing type so that they change dynamically based on section, category and custom fields. We also added the ordering of the lists, when a list is reordered, to the title of the page for better SEO.

4) It is now possible to use a field as the default ordering and this can be set globally and by listing type.

5) Lots of new configuration overrides for listing types: standard listing + review fields, review form, image fields, review submit access.

6) We've added better compatibility with RTL sites by including an RTL css file which is dynamically loaded for RTL languages.

7) Performance-wise we cleaned up some of the code, reduced the number of queries in some pages and optimized the most complex queries. Adding additional table indexes were also added. We've put together a simple article on how you can further improve performance by adding a few indexes to core Joomla tables.
