User reputaation and ability to order reviews by user reputation by default

I was reading this interesting New York Times article:

It occured to me that if a user could gain points depending on whether their reviews were marked useful or not by others, then there could be a ranking for how useful that user's reviews were -- a sort of 'hall of fame' a bit like Yahoo Answers employs. Then user reviews could be listed according to this criteria. I feel this would add a lot of value to some review sites and be a valuable feature of jReviews.
