Luff Posted April 9, 2010 at 03:37 PM Share Posted April 9, 2010 at 03:37 PM Hi Alejandro, I ran into a tricky problem somehow related to the module settings of geomaps module. I have category autodetect enabled so that it is only showing the markers of the actual choosen category which works fine. I also have the address search enabled as I like the possibility to moven around on the map just by entering a city name or address to see the markers available. Now the problem is: The search actually only makes sense if it is performed on the start page where the area is totally zoomed out with all clustered markers. However, I also want my users to be able to move around on the map when they are in some section or category to see if there is some listing available somewhere else (my sections are countries). But with category autodetect enabled the user gets the impression that there is no other listing available as the markers are filtered now. This is very confusing to the user and I think not the purpose of these features. I was looking around in the google maps api documentation and unfortunatelly my skills are not that good to solve this issue by myself. I read something that you can fire off some java lines on trigger when the search is performed. Is it possible to get the category autodetect disabled and display the clustered markers layer again with the search results? I hope you get my point and a solution is somehow possible, otherwise the search function is to confusing as the user doesn't know category autodetect to understand why there are no markers :) Please help me on this one as it can be then also get included in the next update if it works out!
