All option that are apply to all the website, in the Config "Directory" Tab, could be very usefull directly in the menu "parameters". Why ? To use an index bar for some Directory and not for other, to sort A-Z for some Directory and "Joomla Ordering" for others, to use "bullet" list for some and "comma list" for others. Your directory options are so powerfull, I think it's a shame to limit this option use for all website and not for each category menu ;) Your component is really powerfull, your work very serious, your updates too, you listen what we need...it's not true for all Joomla Components that developpers are selling, so I appreciate Jreviews for his serious.
