jReviews 2.0.2 RC1 released

Most, if not all, reported bugs and those I found on my own ;) have been fixed. This version is suitable for production sites because all major changes to the beta have been made and upgrading to future versions shouldn't break functionality. Major changes included folder/file structure as well as changes to the theme files. If you are upgrading from beta, you MUST uninstall/reinstall and update the module files if you are using the listings or reviews modules. Read the upgrade instructions in the Knowledge Base.

 

You can now login to the client area to download this version. I've completed the suite of free modules:

 

1) Listings module

2) Reviews module

3) Field module

4) Range module

5) Directory module

6) Advanced search module

7) Favorites Community Builder Avatars module

 

That's 7 great modules! New in this version is ajax pagination for Listings, Reviews, and Favorites modules. You can see it in action in the jReviews 2.0 demo site

 

New languages included: Italian and Polish. If you feel like sharing your translation, please post it or send via the contact menu above and I will include it in the next version. Language files are in /jreviews/locale folder.

 

Next in line is jReviewsEverywhere 2.0 and a look at improving the loading of js and css files through compression. I'll also look into adding an internal caching mechanism for queries and pages where appropriate to boost performance.
