JAN44 Posted January 31, 2026 at 10:54 AM Share Posted January 31, 2026 at 10:54 AM Hi everyone, I am running a software directory using JReviews. My Goal: I want to automatically display "Alternatives" for each software. Example: On the "Adobe" listing page, I want to show a link or a module listing "Alternatives to Adobe" (e.g., PDFX, PDFY), but without showing Adobe itself in that list. The approaches I considered: Related Listings Module: It works (using "Same Category" or a specific "Function" field), but I am looking for a way to generate a specific landing page URL (SEO purpose) like tags/alternatives/adobe, not just a module on the page. Clickable Search (Tags): If I tag all of them with "Model Checking", the clickable link generates a page that includes Adobe. I want to exclude the current listing from the results. Manual "Reverse" Field: Creating a field "Alternative to..." and manually selecting "Adobe" in the competitor's listing. This works for the logic, but it's very manual to maintain. My Question: Is there a smarter/native way in JReviews to handle "Competitor/Alternative" relationships? Is it possible to generate a Clickable Search URL that automatically adds a parameter to exclude the current Listing ID? Thanks for your tips! Link to comment
