Must read if using Stripe with European clients

Hi,

Below a quote from Stripe's website https://stripe.com/docs/strong-customer-authentication

Quote

Strong Customer Authentication (SCA), a new rule coming into effect on September 14, 2019, as part of PSD2 regulation in Europe, will require changes to how your European customers authenticate online payments. Card payments will require a different user experience, namely 3D Secure, in order to meet SCA requirements. Transactions that don’t follow the new authentication guidelines may be declined by your customers’ banks.

We are now working diligently to upgrade PaidListings and the Stripe Payments Add-on to support SCA. It's still a work in progress, so I don't know when the updates will be ready, but they will be ready before SCA goes fully into effect.

IF YOU USE STRIPE PAYMENTS YOU NEED TO PREPARE FOR THIS

The development of SCA compliance is being done on the latest version of PaidListings and the Stripe Payment Add-ons. The most recent version of PaidListings requires JReviews 3.6.0.4, which is also the latest version of JReviews.

If you use the Stripe Payments Add-on, this means you need to begin updating your site to the latest version of JReviews right now. Especially if you have any customizations that you need to bring up to date. That way, once the PaidListings and Stripe Payments updates are released, you can quickly update those.

Regards

Alejandro
