Adriano Altorio Posted January 17, 2018 at 09:25 AM Share Posted January 17, 2018 at 09:25 AM Basically our website is based on two main core components well working together: Jomsocial: social network part, timeline, groups, etc. Jreviews: directories of recipes, restaurants, news articles, etc. We bought the UserProfiles Add-on because we thought it would be perfect to develop a Linkedin-like section for professionals. But it seems like it doesn't work together with Jomsocial. The ideal flow on our website would be: User logs in using either his Facebook or Google account through JFBConnect (we have it installed and configured. Or the user registers using the Jomsocial register page and he/she fills up the personal form (address, telephone number, job position). Their avatar and generic info is either taken from Facebook or filled up by the user. User creates his own personal/professional listing using the UserProfiles Add-on. Apart from personal details (like address, phone and email contacts, avatar) that might come from either JFBConnect or Jomsocial, the user would have to fill up info about his studies, his job experiences and related listings (restaurants where he worked or he's working, cooking schools where he taught, recipes he created, etc.) The user can be searched in a specific Professionals directory, using geolocalization. For example somebody that is searching for a Personal Chef in a specific area and there's a list of Users (personal chefs) ranked by their relative reviews and votes. But from what I read on the UserProfiles Add-on documentation, this can't be done. Better yet, JFBConnect or Jomsocial doesn't fill up automatically the UserProfile or the other way around. Is it something that will be integrated in the future or do you suggest that we have a custom plugin developed for us that does what we intend to do? Thanks. Link to comment
