Shortcode to include images or videos in Article/Listing

It would be nice to have a shortcode for media so I can include an image/video in the article. It should work where if the user clicks on the image it opens up in a lightbox in the larger size (like images do now).

 

It would also be nice if I could specify the size of the media thumbnail that appears in the article or at least have a couple larger sizes to choose from.
