Alejandro Posted April 28, 2017 at 03:13 PM Share Posted April 28, 2017 at 03:13 PM With the recent release of Joomla 3.7 many of you are seeing an alert in the Joomla administration that tells you it is recommended to update to PHP 7. JReviews 2.7 does works with PHP 7.0, not PHP 7.1 which was only released last December. In September of last year (2016) we published a blog post on the advantages of upgrading to PHP 7 and a corresponding documentation article with instructions for upgrading your JReviews website to PHP 7. It is important that you read the documentation article if you are planning on upgrading your site to PHP 7 which does offer significant performance improvements. If your JReviews version is outdated, then you will not be able to upgrade to PHP 7 unless you also upgrade JReviews. You can continue using your outdated version with Joomla 3.7 as long as no new bugs/issues are discovered with this version that would then also require an upgrade to a newer JReviews version.
