User Profiles Questions

I am having a few issues with the User Profiles Add-on and am a little confused to how to set things up. Having the demo site updated would help with a lot of questions I have on how the whole process works and is setup. I have spent hours trying to figure things out

First off on my site only Editors are able to submit listings. The rest of the users can only submit reviews and comments on listings. I also have JFBConnect installed to handle logins through social networks.

I originally was planning to create 2 profile types. One for Editors and one for regular users. I figured new users would be assigned a default profile type and for the editors I could manually change them to the other type as needed (A lot less editors, very rarely done). I found that I couldn't do this (through another forum post) which is fine hopefully a feature in the future.

So I created the directory, category and listing type needed. I also created the My Account link. From the My Account Page I clicked on "Submit your public profile now.". On the submission page it shows the category, Listing Title, and Summary. I renamed the Listing Title to Display Name in the language overrides. Is there a way I can hide the Category.  The user doesn't need to know this when creating a user profile.

On the User Profiles My Account Page:
- It lists Category:Profiles in the public profile for the user.  How do I get rid of this?
- How does the user edit their user listing and media? I click on Your Listings and Your Media under Submissions and it tells me that I don't have access. By default the users can't add listings except for a profile.
- Is there a way to rename Your Listings to "Edit Public Profile"? Or better yet add this to the settings section. Editing your public profile from your listings link would not be very obvious for users.

Do I need to use the User Profile Signup page or is the module I am using from JFBConnect (SCLogin) fine? I have my site login setup similar to how the jreveiws demo site is done.

I also see now my Profiles directory and Category appears in places I don't want like the Categories Tree and the profiles are appearing in top rated listings etc. It would be nice if these modules had an ignore field where I could specify which category to ignore. Now I am going to have to keep lists of what categories to include for these modules which is all of the jreviews ones except profiles. Every time I add a new category I will have to update all of these modules.

Finally I see the Directory and Category can be viewed for User Profiles. I don't mind having the Category visible so visitors can see all the user profiles but is there a way to not have the Directory visible and accessible since it will only have the one category in it for users?

Thanks

Tom

PS The paste function of the forum doesn't work in Microsoft Edge. The OK button doesn't do anything. on the Paste Form. It works fine in Firefox.
