changing from 3 months free to 1 month free

I have a base plan that is free for 3 months and another few paid base plans thta the user chooses once the default base plan expires.

 

I have a number of users on the 3 months free plan at the moment.

 

I wish to no longer offer three months free but instead offer 1 month free.

 

Should I

1) amend the 3 month plan down to 1 month? This seems best to to me but will it affect current users on this plan who are lets say only two weeks in to their 3 month.... or will they still work to the time left of their existing 3 months and so not affect them adversely.

2) Create a new free one month plan and disable the 3 month free plan? My concern with this is users who come off the three month plan because they have never chosen the one month plan would now be able to choose the one month free plan?
