Michael Posted January 13, 2014 at 12:00 AM Share Posted January 13, 2014 at 12:00 AM Hi everyone, I noticed a problem with geo maps on my site. If I set up a new listing the address is automatically geocoded, as intended, i.e. I do not have to push the "map it button". But the result shows a strong inaccuracy, i.e. it is a few hundred meter off the desired target. If I hit the "map it button", the result is perfect, i.e. I got the exact adress shown on a map. Unfortunately the described scenario leads to the following negative side effect: If I edit a listing via frontpage (lets say I change a word in the description but do not touch the geocoordinates/map) as soon as I save the listing, the inaccurate map result is shown again and my pin is set offtarget a few hundred meters. Only workaround by now whenever I have to edit a listing is to always hit "clear coordinates" first and the "map it" before saving the listing, otherwise, the issue happens again. Do you got any idea what might cause this? Current findings from my end so far: - changing the template does not help - disabling all overrides does not help Thanks for your support!
