Custom coded payment handlers and JReviews Updates

Hi,

 

We have hired a php developer to custom code a local paymernt handler, via the plugins as recommended, and it all seems to work ok. Just a question, I see JReviews is due for a compoment update,if I update, will any dev work be updated as well? (custom payment handler)
