Alejandro Posted August 30, 2013 at 05:13 PM Share Posted August 30, 2013 at 05:13 PM In the past three years we've released two major versions of JReviews and dozens of updates, each one bringing more features, performance improvements and bug fixes. We've worked extremely hard to keep JReviews up to date, introducing the latest web standards, and making it compatible with every new Joomla version that has come out in that time frame (J1.6, J1.7, J2.5 and J3.x). We've also developed migration add-ons to make the upgrade and migration process easier and to make sure no one is left behind. We are committed to continue providing everyone with outstanding support and developing new features. It's been over three years since we last raised prices, and within that timeframe we've continued to make substantial investments in product development, while our cost base has also increased. To be able to continue pushing the boundaries of what you can do with JReviews and its suite of add-ons, on September 15th we are going to adjust prices as follows: JReviews: $179 JReviews 12 months support & upgrades: $89 - includes upgrades for both components and any add-ons purchased. Still one of the best values in the Joomla world at 50% off the regular price and for 12 months. We've also got some exciting news about a new, FREE, optional and revolutionary JReviews SEF plugin that we are working on. The plugin will simplify the setup process and will also generate nicer SEF URLs. The days of having to create parallel menu structures for Joomla category menus (the "hidden" menus) and JReviews category menus will be gone soon. The JReviews SEF plugin will render Joomla category pages as JReviews category pages so you only need to create your menu structure using the Joomla core menus. This also means that the listing detail URL structure will match the structure of the category URL. The plugin has some automatic 301 redirect capabilities for existing sites that wish to take advantage of the new URLs. It also has a great feature to allow you to remove the article IDs from URLs. This feature also fixes a Joomla SEO weakness that allows anyone to modify the title alias in the URL and it still renders the page as a duplicate URL instead of returning a 404 error. As an added bonus, sitemap extensions like XMAP, will work seamlessly with JReviews because there won't be a separate category structure. We look forward to continue improving all of our products so you can keep building successful sites for many more years to come! Thank you for your support. Link to comment
