P Gales Posted July 6, 2013 at 10:27 PM Share Posted July 6, 2013 at 10:27 PM Currently, setting up rating criteria is a bit like getting married. You can get divorced, but it's a pain in the ass if you already have a lot of (kids) reviews in the system. For the future, I was wondering if one way to build in some room for people who may not know what works for them until they actually try it out is to have them create optional criteria fields that could be hidden. This way a user could add additional fields if they need to by simply revealing (unhiding) any criteria fields they might need. Just in case this is not clear, the instructions would provide the following guideline for users configuring their JReviews site: "Ratings Criteria cannot be added once you have reviews in the system. If you think you may want to add additional ratings criteria in the future, then create as many criteria as you think you may need now and select "optional" and "hide" for each of criteria. If you decide you want to add additional criteria in the future just uncheck the "hide" button and rename the criteria as you see fit." What do you think? If weights of zero could be assigned to these criteria then it should be possible no? BTW, is there a way to hide any optional criteria (with the current system I mean?) Link to comment
