Rik Brown Posted April 23, 2013 at 02:54 AM Share Posted April 23, 2013 at 02:54 AM This is probably way too much to ask, but.... As our site grows and we add tens of thousands of listings at a time, the importation of the listings is getting slower and harder to do with the csv importer. I note that the listing id gets created in jos_content and and the listing content in jos_jreviews_content. I thought I also read that JR doesn't use the jos_assets table. But importing to all of those tables gets slower as the rows increase and a lot of that appears to be related to Joomla's building of the jos_assets table. I've noted that the images info has been moved out of the jos_content table. So, here is the big one: I'm wondering if (perhaps over time) JReviews could be worked so that it becomes independent of jos_content and stands totally separate (I don't know how that would impact searches). If so, it would be easy to import 10,000 rows of listings data in just seconds directly to jos_jreviews content with mysql. Anyway, just an idea (no need to reply). Cheers! -- Rik Link to comment
