Expiry date

I have a question on the expiration date of listing plans.

 

I want to use the joomla default article finish publishing date, if I list an item through the front end, giving it a base plan that never expires and then go into joomlas article manager and set the finish publishing date, the standard joomla expiration works perfectly as long as it's done in that order. and not the other way around, as the listing plan overrides the expiration date. 

 

My question is about an upgrade plan, that does have an expiration date. For example a featured upgrade that lasts for 7 days. My understanding is that at the end of the 7 days that plan would expire, reverting it back to the base plan which has no expiration date for the listing itself. When that featured plan expires does it affect the default joomla finish publishing field?
