Doug Williams Posted August 23, 2011 at 08:35 AM Share Posted August 23, 2011 at 08:35 AM I am setting up a local review website. I created a base default plan for new listings with basic features. I also setup basic upgrade 1 month, 3 month, 1 year subscription Premium Upgrade 1 month, 3 month, 1 year subscription What's the difference to the buyer for subscription and 1 time payment? Subscribing you still pay up front and have the option to renew. One time you pay same amount up front and it ends. I tested it out with a listing with a 100% off coupon and it worked great. My question is: When I got back to the listing I ordered the 1 year premium for I still see options to upgrade the lower subscriptions. Would 1 time payments be my best bet? If someone had 3 month basic but wanted to go premium what would need to happen? The way I have it setup it seems if someone has a 3 month basic for $10 and wanted to upgrade to the premium for $20, then they would be charged the $20 on top of the $10 for a total of $30 rather than just $20 all together.
