JReviews 2.3 RC3 RELEASED

JReviews 2.3 RC3 is available for download in the client area and via the remote installer!

This version brings a lot of bug fixes and JReviews 2.3 is now much closer to a stable release. We want to thank everyone that reported bugs and helped us testing bug fixes.

 

Upgrading from JReviews 2.3 RC2

 

Use the remote installer available in JReviews administration.

If you use jreviews_overrides folder with customized theme files other than custom_syles.css, you should compare those files with newer versions and update them (there aren't many changes to the theme files in RC3, but it is important that you apply them to your custom files).

 

Upgrading from JReviews 2.3 RC1 or JReviews 2.2

RC3 brings a capability for mobile device detection (iPhone, Android, Windows Phone 7, ...) and on those devices it will use a mobile theme specified in the configuration.

A beta version of the Mobile Theme is included. Here is a short demo of the listing detail page:

Since the mobile theme is in beta, there will be many changes to it in the next JReviews release.

 

In the coming weeks we will work on fixing any remaining bugs in JReviews 2.3, but also on updating the documentation and creating a new demo site that will use JReviews 2.3 and Joomla 1.6.
