A few minor ones might remain, but we are releasing this now in the interest of getting the most important issues out of the way. The update is available for download from the client area as well as via remote update only for users of JReviews 2.3 RC1 which need to update one file before the update. JReviews 2.3 RC1 installs Download the attached file to this post and upload it to /components/com_jreviews/jreviews/admin_controllers. After that you should be able to use the remote updater. There are no changes to add-ons or modules with this release. If you use JomSocial, we have updated the plugins and you can download them from the client area and install over the existing ones without uninstalling them first. JReviews 2.2 or earlier installs 1) Backup your site 2) Only if you use JReviews overrides (otherwise ignore this step), rename /templates/jreviews_overrides to /templates/jreviews_overrides_OLD and don't attempt to use this folder again. It has old files and they will break JReviews 2.3. You must create a new version of your overrides and re-do your changes on the new files. If you have problems loading the JReviews admin after this, use this as the url to clear the file registry: yourdomain.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_jreviews&url=common/clearFileRegistry 3) Uninstall the old S2framework and JReviews components via the Joomla installer. Your data and configuration will remain in the database, but you should have backed up as mentioned in Step 1. 4) Install the new S2Framework and JReviews components via the Joomla installer. http://docs.reviewsforjoomla.com/Installing_JReviews_component 5) Uninstall the add-ons (GeoMaps and PaidListings) from the remote updater screen. If you can't find the remove button in the remote installer screen, delete the folders in /components/com_jreviews_addons. 6) If you had previously installed a 2.3 beta and are using any of the add-ons, uncheck the “use betas” checkbox in the remote installer and install the new version of the add-ons 7) Update the JReviews modules. You can install the new ones found in the client area package over the existing ones without removing the old ones first. 8.) If you use JomSocial or Community builder and had installed any of the JReviews plugins for reinstall them. For JomSocial which uses the Joomla installer you don't need to remove the old ones first. 9) Go to the Field Groups Manager and make sure every field group name is a slug. That means lowercase, no spaces, no special characters. The title can remain as is. For example if the group name is "Group Name", change it to "group-name". This is a new requirement for the related fields feature to work properly.
