IP address and or location address reside in any variables I can access?

I want to display the city my user is in above the Geomap module I have configured for Geo targeting. I confirmed the correct file to put my code Geomaps.thtml I know how to capture user IP and I was looking into the required code for retrieving city location from the user IP address when I thought heck maybe those two pieces of information are already stored in variables. If the city has already been captured I could just echo that variable. Has city already been captured in the module when Geo Targeting is enabled? If so in what variable?
