Andres Gomez Posted September 8, 2010 at 11:31 AM Share Posted September 8, 2010 at 11:31 AM Hello! I have been using this wonderful component for some time now and i am very pleased with it so far. The site i have this component on is for a client of mine who asked me for a very specific feature and i dont know what to do (i dont know if it is already built in but i dont know how to use). At the top of the site, there is a an advanced search module (which uses a custom template) for zip codes. In other words, simply type in your zip code and youll be redirected to a page list of listings with that zip code. That works fine and is ok, but not what my client wants. What he wants is the following... instead of the search bar redirecting you to a list page of listings, he wants the zip code to "stick". In other words, when you type in a zip code into the search, he wants the entire site to filter all listings down to that zip code so you can navigate around the site in different categories and sub categories without ever leaving that zip code. So you understand me better, a good working example of this is in the popular site Yelp! (www.yelp.com). Yelp doesnt exactly work that way, its a bit different but same concept. In Yelp, you choose a popular city and the entire site filters itself down to just listings in that particular city. I noticed that in the address bar the site has an alias of the city. So if you choose New York for example, Yelp redirects to www.yelp.com/nyc. Is there any way possible i can pull this off with Jreviews? Maybe this is not a current feature so maybe there is a workaround? If not i am very willing to pay for this to be implemented. Any help or advice would be very appreciated. Thanks! Link to comment
