ed ventura Posted June 2, 2010 at 04:02 AM Share Posted June 2, 2010 at 04:02 AM I am geotargetting my users on my homepage to show a map that has markers close to home. Problem is, there are only a handful of markers in certain states. So, for example, I live in Indiana (where medical marijuana is not legal, so there are no dispensaries). So my homepage doesn't show any markers at all unless I leave the radius blank (which shows all markers in the US). I'm assuming someone in San Diego will also see the same markers as I see since it's returning all markers in the US. My dilemna is that I would like to geotarget my users to only show a radius of 30 miles which works great if there are markers to be shown. If someone in Indiana tries to look up a dispensary and I have a radius of 30 miles set, and the user types in the "type address to move map" field, even if they move it to a place that has markers, they don't show up because of the 30 mile radius. I guess what I'm asking is, is there a way to set a radius, but if nothing is within that radius, then it takes you to the closest place, but then the default is to show ALL markers (or at up to my limit that I set)?
