Found a problem maybe with chars and also the reason for it / queries:

Problem: I wanted to create a new field, after save the view didn't switch to list view but it stayed in field view. I switched to the frontend of the page there I got an error.

Also the field view in the backend did not work anymore. I went into the mysql database and saw that the field was created in the xy_jreviews_fields table. I deleted it and everything worked as before.

I created a new field with a modified "Maximum Characters" specification and that worked.

It is possible that I have already exhausted the "Maximum Characters" of 255, but there is no hint about it. I have a total of 72 fields with Maximum Characters of 255.

My questions:

Why does no error appear in the backend and why is the field still created in the database with the correct Char?

Is it possible to change the "Maximum Characters" of fields afterwards? Either via Jreviews or the database?
